Let’s get to the Point …Why do I need you as my financial advisor?

Let’s cut to the chase…what is the point of all this financial stuff?

Is it to make you rich?  Is it to provide financial security years down the line?  Is it to find out how you’re going to pay for your kids’ education?  What happens to your money if you’re in a long-term care facility in your 80’s?

Each situation is different, and I honestly don’t know yours…because we haven’t talked yet.

There are so many questions you could be asking yourself. Thinking about your financial goals, discussing you finances with your partner or wondering how to mange your finances are top triggers to stress.

This is “the point.” Although your situation may be different, let’s go through this exercise:

Hypothetically, let’s say that you’re married, in your mid-30’s with a couple of kids likely going to college.  Now lets add to this comparison a demographically identical household.

Identical in every categorical way you can think of.

Would you have the same financial plan as them?  The same investment objectives?  The same timing and volume of savings?  Maybe.  Maybe not.

The point is that we, as financial advisors, can’t really provide anything of substance until we get to know you today…and know what you want down the road.  As far as we are concerned, for all the tangible things we provide…from investment management to planning to estate help…none of that really matters unless it is done with your best interest and your unique situation in mind.

When it comes to demographically identical households, algorithms may not be able to adjust for small, very common variables.  And, furthermore, the practical value may not be the best planning strategy for you.

“The point” is we may have a lot of answers and solutions to what you’re looking for.  The critical part of that though, is understanding what questions you have. We believe that each client is unique, each client deserves a fully bespoke plan tailored around their needs, and building a bespoke plan starts with knowing who you are.

We’re here to help you stick to your plan, reduce thoughts of stress or difficult conversations and hold you accountable for your financial goals. The first steps are a free initial conversation – please email me directly at sdieck@pistonewealth.com to start your process.
